We manage the import of electronic and technology products: from appliances and audio/video equipment to connected devices —phones, routers, IP cameras, IoT devices— and components for production processes.
It's a sector with two regulatory fronts worth telling apart: equipment that transmits or receives radiofrequency signals or connects to telecommunications networks requires ENACOM homologation (registration in the RAMATEL, Ley 27.078 Art. 16); a good part of electrical and electronic equipment, in addition, falls under the electrical-safety conformity mark —seal plus QR code— of Res. SIyC 237/2024, under the Technical Regulation of Res. SIyC 16/2025, which repealed the old "S" seal regime of Res. 169/2018; and, for certain large appliances, under mandatory energy-efficiency labeling (Res. 438/2024). We frame each operation by product type, before the goods reach port or airport.

Regulations and agencies involved
ENACOM — RAMATEL homologation (Ley 27.078, Art. 16)
Mandatory homologation (registration in the RAMATEL) for equipment that transmits or receives radiofrequency signals or connects to telecommunications networks: phones, routers, wifi access points, wireless headsets, IP cameras, IoT devices, among others. Homologation is nominative: if another importer already homologated the same model, you still have to register it under your own name, unless you're declared as the Local Representative's Designated Importer. The company is also registered separately, on top of the device, in the Registro de Actividades, under the applicable subregistry.
Electrical safety — Technical Regulation under Res. SIyC 16/2025
Res. SIyC 16/2025 repealed the "S" seal regime (Res. 169/2018). Today, for the four families listed in its Anexo II —power supplies and chargers, household appliances, lighting fixtures, and electronics/audio/video devices, operating between 50 and 1,000 V AC or between 75 and 1,500 V DC—, Anexo III requires product certification (schemes 1b, 2, 3, 4, and 5). That's why the conformity mark under Res. SIyC 237/2024 —seal plus QR code— is mandatory for those products, and enforceable since October 1, 2025 (Res. 26/2025, Art. 4). The mark isn't filed with any agency: the importer itself generates and applies it, and the QR code must link to the Declaración Jurada de Conformidad and the certificate (Disposición DNRT 1/2024, point 3.4.1). There are three cases where marking doesn't apply and a Declaración Jurada de Conformidad is enough: inputs that become part of an already-covered final product, and spare parts ordered by the manufacturer (Anexo I, point 3); professional electrical equipment (Apéndice IV, point 4.2); and electronics under 50 V whose external power supply isn't provided with the product (Apéndice IV, point 4.1). In the first two cases, the customs destination filing must declare that classification. Before you ship, we confirm which case your product falls under: over-certifying costs testing and weeks, and under-marking stops the goods in market surveillance.
Energy efficiency (Res. 438/2024)
Mandatory labeling (a scale of up to seven classes, A through G) for certain appliances, air conditioners, and televisions, among other products. It's administered by the Dirección Nacional de Reglamentos Técnicos; the Secretaría de Energía sets the minimum efficiency levels. The obligation falls on manufacturers and importers, who certify it with a Declaración Jurada de Conformidad.
